DAIRY FARMING IN KENYA

Over 80% of milk available in the market in Kenya is produced by Small Holders; that is individual farmers keeping between two to four dairy cows. Though majority keep traditional Zebu cows, there is a steady increase in moving towards rearing of exotic breeds, as the demand for milk is steadily increasing.
